A garden baby shower outside of the best bakery in town, is about one of the most beautiful and classy celebrations ever! Full of unique detail, exquisite florals and enough charm to blow your socks off, I’ve fallen in love.

I’m totally obsessed with this party. It is so beautifully designed and the desserts are so fabulous. Here’s Jen Choi, mom to birthday girl and maker of all the lovely desserts:
“Most preschoolers’ parties in our neighborhood are at indoor gyms and they’re very standardized. I wanted complete creative control and my daughter isn’t the typical “huge ball of energy”, so we sought after something a little more special. She is a huge fan of arts and crafts (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as I’m a cake designer and dessert caterer), so I tried to curate the perfect party pumped with creative activities.
We kicked off the party by painting wooden whales, decorating them with glitter, and undersea stickers. While the whales dried, we enjoyed artisanal pizza made with local ingredients (Marc makes the best pizza in Hoboken!) and home-made cocktails and seasonal summer brews (for the parents, that is). After a fulfilling meal, we sang Happy Birthday, cut the cake and opened up the dessert table— peach macarons, vanilla cake pops, banana cream pies in a jar, traditional and mint Oreos, and assorted sweets. The children participated in a cookie decorating session shortly after. Each child received 4 blank cookies (starfish, whale, sea horse and sailboat). They iced the cookies and adorned them with eyes, lips, sprinkles, jimmies, and sugar—to take home OR to eat on the spot.”
Olivia James has to be the luckiest little lady to have an interior designer mom who can make the spunkiest and loveliest nursery there ever was. Add two little pups, a loving dad and a stack of fashion books…she’s set for life.
