Dec25 Winter Inspiration 2013

This Winter Inspiration shoot is really delightful.
We hope you have the most wonderful and joyous Christmas with family and friends, from the Grey Likes Team!
Designed and directed by St. Thomas Floral Design and captured by Shannon Elizabeth Photography.
From Jessica: “It all started with a blue room and a vintage green velvet chair. When I began dreaming up this shoot I wanted to make it warm and cozy without making it dull. The slate blue walls made for a perfect backdrop and it reminded me of winter. The idea was to make the main color scheme blue, apple green, and cream with slight accents of dark green and red. The fresh cedar, holly, and pepper berry added the perfect touch of accent color and freshness I wanted. With so many layers, each individual piece had to be simple. The cedar and pepper berry garland is the perfect example. I wanted the garland itself to be simple, since I knew I was going to layer on the vintage Christmas cards, and the beautiful watercolor painting’s on the shelf above. The green hanging amaranthus chandelier is also very simple, but brings so much texture and life to the shoot. I knew that would be the perfect addition to this room with it’s vibrant color, especially while paired with the vintage pendant. What a match! I enjoy mixing various design styles and color palettes to create one of a kind settings. A good portion of what was used in this shoot has been slowly thrifted by me over the years, and I love the history that it shares. And last but not least, I adore my two little girls and am thrilled that they were able to be apart of creating this little piece of magic with me. They are my daily dose of inspiration.
